What we believe!

We believe strongly that God is the Creator and Sustainer of our universe, and the Bible is His inspired Word.  We use only the Bible as our guide for worship, the organization of our congregation, how to become a Christian, and for our guide in spiritual growth.  We believe Jesus died for the forgiveness of the whole world so we can live forever in heaven.  Anyone can have this forgiveness through faith, love and obedience to God as explained in the Bible.  Jesus has made a difference in our lives.  Now we really enjoy life and look forward to someday being together in heaven.

FOR OUR VISITORS

MUSIC:  All of the music we offer to God in our public worship assemblies is “acappella,” or vocal without instrumental accompaniment.

COMMUNION:   Each week, we remember the death of Jesus Christ for the sins of all humanity.  This is done by observing the “Lord’s Supper,” which He Himself instituted on the night before his crucifixion.  The unleavened bread reminds us of His physical body, which was sacrificed for us, and the “fruit of the vine” reminds us of His blood, which was shed for our sins.

COLLECTION:  Each week, we take up an offering from members of the congregation.  The funds are used to finance the many activities of the church.  Our visitors should feel no obligation to contribute.

INVITATION:  At the close of each sermon, an “invitation” is offered as an opportunity for anyone who wants to be baptized into Christ; ask for the prayers of the congregation; or who is already a member of the Lord’s church but who wishes to be identified with this congregation.

NURSERY:  An attended nursery is available for mothers and babies.  Parents may leave their children with the nursery attendant or remain, as they choose. The nursery is located in the new part of our building, down the ramp and to the right.

TRAINING ROOM:  A training room is also available to help your young children learn to sit quietly during the worship service.  Go through the glass doors to the foyer and turn to your left to access it.

Psalms 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
